CENSORED is an exhibition of 300 golden nipple casts of women and non-binary people, challenging nipple censorship and unwanted sexualisation.
This book features photographs of 300 golden Jesmonite nipple casts made by body casting artist Ellen Downes in the summer of 2023.
The 300 nipple casts are presented alongisde stories from the 150 people who have been cast for the project.
The book explores topics of social media censorship, public breastfeeding, diversity representation and sexual harassment, as well as themes of gender, sexuality and body autonomy.
Also featured is a printed photo series of participants of the project by Bristol-based photographer Ana Clark Ribeiro.
